Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse heaped praise on rookie V.J. Edgecombe, the No. 3 overall pick in the draft, calling his debut NBA season “incredible” and emphasizing the young guard’s immense potential.

“This has been a remarkable rookie season. Edgecombe is a tremendous player — it is not just about shooting, scoring, or athleticism. He truly understands how to play the game, possesses natural leadership qualities, and performs best on the big stage,” Nurse said in an interview Tuesday.
Edgecombe appeared in 75 regular-season games, averaging 16.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. In the playoffs, he played 11 contests, posting 14.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.
“It is absolutely an incredible season, and the future is even brighter because he has so many special traits,” Nurse added. (Source: NBA.com)
