Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has emphasized the importance of his team staying fully focused in every match during the decisive final stretch of the season.
“I’ve always learned one thing: you have to improve and create the best conditions for yourself, because otherwise you’ll only blame yourself for not doing everything possible. So you need to concentrate only on getting better. Right now our focus is on the match against Crystal Palace,” Guardiola said.
“We have this game, then the trip to Bournemouth and the last match against Aston Villa. The most important match is the next one. Then we’ll see what happens in the following games. I’ve always understood: as soon as you lose concentration, you find yourself in a dangerous situation,” Guardiola was quoted as saying by The Guardian.
Arsenal currently lead the Premier League table with 79 points from 36 matches, while Manchester City sit in second place with 74 points from 35 games.
Guardiola stressed that his side cannot afford any slip-ups as they chase the title, with every point crucial in the closing weeks of the campaign.
