The Mossos d’Esquadra identified 45 people suspected of illegal ticket reselling near the Spotify Camp Nou during the classic clash between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, a match that saw the Catalan club clinch their second consecutive La Liga title.

According to police sources, in response to the match—where Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 2-0 to claim their 29th league trophy—the Mossos deployed a specialized joint operation on the day of the game. This operation included officers from the administrative police unit and plainclothes agents, all focused on preventing and detecting unauthorized ticket sales around the stadium.

The operation led to the identification of 45 individuals connected to possible scalping activities, resulting in four administrative fines.

Additionally, as part of the security measures for the match, the Mossos filed seven administrative complaints for possession of narcotics and prohibited weapons. Four more complaints were issued for displaying banned symbols, possessing flares, and forging tickets.

Meanwhile, the club itself expelled 25 people from the stadium for violating internal regulations.

Post-match celebrations moved to Plaça de Catalunya without any major incidents or arrests, though officers did identify four individuals during preventive patrols and public space controls. The usual celebration spot at Canaletes fountain on Las Ramblas was unavailable due to ongoing construction.

In a related development, the Catalan police also cited four additional administrative infractions during the operation. The clampdown reflects authorities’ ongoing efforts to curb illegal ticket reselling at high-profile sporting events.
