rescued baby hummingbirdHere’s a pretty awesome video of some dude rescuing and nurturing a baby hummingbird back to health after it was attacked. The video is soundtracked by Jack Johnson and although I’m not really a Jack Johnson fan, his music is just so damn perfect for this video. Anyways, all the cute girls out there should just throw themselves upon this guy for doing such a noble deed.

Finally A Post Not About Cats Or Dogs: A Sweet, Disabled Lamb Gets Around On A Pet Wheelchair

October 26, 2010 | No Comments » | Topics: Heartwarming, Lamb |

lamb wheelchairHere’s a pretty awesome story about a 5 month old lamb named Spin, who was born with a birth defect which prevents her from using her hind legs, however her kind owner has fitted her with a custom wheelchair that enables her to mosey around with all the other lamb.

And for all the critics out there that are complaining about how there are poor human children who need wheelchairs….Why is it crazy to help an animal? Spin’s wheels may cost $400-$500, but the inspiration she can provide to disabled people everywhere is priceless. She would make an excellent animal ambassador to teach children about the value of all life, including those who rely on mobility devices.

October 16, 2010 | 2 Comments » | Topics: Dog, Heartwarming |

If you’re an dog lover like me, this video will definitely bring a tear to your eye and a smile to your face. The story goes:

Oakland, California – (Helmet Cam) Firefighters performed rescue breathing on a dog that was found unconscious/unresponsive in a house fire. The dog was found at the backdoor in the kitchen, pulled from the building with minor burns and initially had a respiratory rate of 40+. Firefighters performed rescue breathing for approx. 12 minutes and as you can see survived. The owner was not home at the time so they decided to bring the dog back to the firehouse for dinner and water

And I just want to say one last thing…Firefighters Are Awesome!!!
