“We really wanted to win today, and I’m glad we managed to do it. Maybe I would trade today’s goal for a penalty goal, but it’s all good. The game went well overall; I wouldn’t say anything went wrong. We started cautiously in the first half, but I think the second half was ours. After the first goal, we kept pressing them. You could see Krasnodar was getting tired. We managed to score in the dying minutes. We’re so happy for Vanya! Scoring on his birthday was special,” Tyukavin said, as reported by Championat correspondent Maria Kutsubeyeva.
Currently, Moscow Dynamo sit in eighth place in the Russian championship standings with 42 points. Krasnodar are second with 63 points, while Zenit lead the table with 65 points.
